Florida Atlantic University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Fort Lauderdale (FAU OLLI FLL) is pleased to announce the partnership with Holy Cross Health for the 2021-22 season.

Holy Cross Health has generously provided a $3,000 income-based scholarship for women in Broward County to participate in lifelong learning college-level non-credit classes at the FAU Downtown Fort Lauderdale campus or virtually, at no charge. In addition to educational opportunities, FAU OLLI FLL combats senior isolation by providing a platform for socialization and fellowship within our community.

“We are excited to partner with Holy Cross Health in this initiative to expand the impact of our enriching Osher Lifelong Learning classes to a wider Broward community. We know that participating in social and learning activities throughout our lives improves health and well-being which is the mission of both Holy Cross Health and FAU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute,” said Michael J. Horswell, Ph.D., associate executive director, Florida Atlantic University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Fort Lauderdale.

“Holy Cross Health is honored to have the opportunity to partner with FAU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Fort Lauderdale. HCH will provide over 140 income-based scholarships to qualifying women in Broward County to participate either in person or virtually in lectures and programs free of charge. We are grateful for this collaboration that supports our mission to serve the underserved and FAU’s mission to make education accessible to all,” said Sr. Rita Levasseur, RSM vice president, Mission Integration.

“We are grateful to Sr. Rita Levasseur and Kim Saiswick of Holy Cross Health for their leadership and collaboration on this worthwhile endeavor. We look forward to working with Holy Cross Health in offering educational opportunities to the community,” said Horswell.
